COURAGE CODES is a podcast about deconstructing ancient wisdom to awaken inner sovereignty.

Hosted by Ekram Ibrahim, a Harvard trained public narrative scholar and spiritual thinker, the show explores ancient mythology, religious stories, and inherited belief systems, translating them into everyday tools for creatives, revolutionaries and the courageous.

This is an invitation to remember what was never taken from you: the sovereign within.

For years, I believed spiritual people were safer to love.

I built friendships, relationships, and community around the idea of being “on the path.” I quietly distanced myself from people who felt too grounded, too practical, too religious, or too connected to ordinary life. I thought they would never truly understand me, or that they would judge the way I saw the world.

But over time, something unexpected started happening.

I found myself deeply drawn to people who were more connected to real life than spiritual identity. Family members, old friends, grounded partners, and people who would probably never describe themselves as “spiritual” slowly brought me back to my body, my heart, and my humanity.

In this episode, I am actually confessing my poor judgment and how friends and family helped me see a different perspective. I speak about spiritual superiority, judgment, healing, family, grief, and the difference between spirituality and purity of heart.

Sometimes the people we believe are “less evolved” are the very people sent to return us to the heart.

Taurus season has always belonged to Hathor, the ancient Egyptian Neter of love, beauty, sacred sound, and erotic intelligence. But this year, something unprecedented is happening in her season: Uranus, the Great Awakener, leaves Taurus after seven years and enters Gemini on April 25th, for the first time since 1941 inaugurating a seven-year revolution in how we love, how we communicate, and what we are actually attracted to. In this episode Ekram explores what we are calling the New Erotic Blueprint: the shift from need-based relating (who makes me feel safe and provided for — the Uranus in Taurus wound) to values-based relating (do I genuinely recognize you , the Uranus in Gemini frequency). She goes into Hathor's ancient temple teaching that the Throat and erotic desire are governed by the same Neter, because voice and sexuality are the same instrument in the body , and what that means for how you love and how you speak. If you felt something shift between July and November 2025 , in your attractions, your conversations, what felt hollow versus resonant , that was the preview. Now it is here to stay.

Thousands of years before astrology went mainstream, the ancient Egyptians had already mapped this season down to its bones. They called it the Season of Ausar (the Greek God Osiris). They built entire temple ceremonies around it. In this episode, we go deep into the myth of Osiris, what it means for your life right now, and how to consciously work with the most potent energy of the year.

Everyone is detoxing.
Everyone is trying to heal.

So why are so many people still exhausted?

In this episode of Courage Codes, Ekram explores the hidden flaw in modern healing and wellness cultures: as they focus on removing toxins but rarely asks what actually nourishes human life.

Drawing on ancient Egyptian philosophy, modern science, and personal experience, she introduces the concept of Divine Alchemy: the lost art of being resourced by life itself.

Have you ever noticed how some people grow older but feel lighter…
while others feel heavier and heavier with time?

We usually blame this on stress, lifestyle, or aging.

But ancient traditions had another explanation.

They believed that when experiences are not processed grief, betrayal, trauma, regret when are not alchemized, they accumulate.

Some traditions called it the impurities of death.

And today I want to explore a question:

What if the weight many of us carry is not physical, but are the impurities of death?

The last decade the spiritual community was so self focused and this phase has ended and here Ekram discusses what is coming next, especially during political and social uncertainty.

In this episode, Ekram sits with an Egyptian-British woman whose life and work bridge three worlds: photography, gender studies and ancient Egyptian wisdom. What begins as a personal journey unfolds into a deep exploration of Egyptian alchemy, ancestral memory, and the hidden intelligence encoded in the land of Kemet.

Together, they trace her path of awakening; how identity, displacement, and remembrance led her back to Egypt not as a tourist, but as a guardian of wisdom. The conversation moves fluidly between the personal and the cosmic:

Who really built the pyramids?
Why has Egypt always been a spiritual technology rather than a myth?
And what does it mean to say that Egypt is the throat chakra of the Earth?

In this Courage Codes episode, I tune into the energy of Capricorn season through astrology, the Winter Solstice, and ancient Egyptian wisdom. We explore plant seeds for 2026.

At the heart of this month is Set, the ancient Egyptian Neter of corrective chaos. Not chaos as destruction for its own sake, but chaos as a cosmic force that dismantles what no longer aligns with cosmic harmony.

This episode is an invitation to look honestly at:

- Where structure in your life supports you and where you need more structure

- How to work consciously with Capricorn energy instead of resisting it

This is a month for maturity, clarity, and sober power.

In this episode of Courage Codes, Ekram shares a personal story about losing her phone while on a spiritual journey in the desert. She reflects on the deeper meanings of loss, the importance of silence, and the lessons learned from this experience. Through discussions with friends, she explores the idea that losing an item can serve as a spiritual initiation, prompting self-reflection and a call to focus on what truly matters. Ekram emphasizes the need to embrace silence and not rush into replacing lost items, allowing time for introspection and growth.

I returned to New York body clenched, exhausted, emotionally depleted and spent eight months rebuilding myself from the inside out. This episode is a raw, intimate map of that reset: the small rituals (sauna, cold plunge, acupuncture), the brave choices (living alone, saying no to full-time jobs), and the surprising medicine of community. I weave stories of healing creative stagnation, lessons on boundaries and intimacy, and the business truths that come when you bet on your own ideas.

Listen for: honest confessions about romance (why monogamy can mask control), practical self-care that actually works (heat, heavy lifting, weekly acupuncture), and the spiritual undercurrent that holds everything together , meditation as an anchor and Ancient Egypt as a living consciousness that shaped my choices. By the end you’ll hear why slowing down, protecting your space, and creating with purpose isn’t indulgence. it’s the highest form of wealth.
